Pakistan reaffirms zero tolerance for terrorism, warns against Indian propaganda

Islamabad (Web Desk/Agencies): Pakistan has once again underlined its firm resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms, calling for an impartial and united international response to the threat, while rejecting what it described as politically driven attempts to malign the country.

In a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan stated that “zero tolerance for terrorism and robust international cooperation remain central to its counter-terrorism (CT) policy.”

“Pakistan has been, and continues to be, a frontline state in the fight against terrorism,” the statement said, emphasizing the country’s contributions to global security, including the “recent apprehension of Sharifullah — the terrorist mastermind behind the deadly Abbey Gate bombing.”

Regarding the ongoing investigation into the Pahalgam incident in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJ&K), the Ministry noted that “the inquiry remains inconclusive.” It categorically denied any connection to the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), stating that “such claims do not align with ground realities.”

“Pakistan has effectively dismantled such defunct organizations, arrested and prosecuted their leadership, and undertaken extensive deradicalization efforts,” the Foreign Office clarified in response to the allegations.

The statement also criticized India’s approach to international counter-terrorism frameworks, saying that “India has a track record of exploiting such matters to divert global attention from its own irresponsible and rogue conduct, particularly its grave human rights violations in IIOJ&K.”

It urged the global community to “adopt non-discriminatory policies” and avoid politicization of terrorism-related designations. Pakistan further called for the inclusion of the Majeed Brigade—linked to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA)—under international terrorist listings.

The statement concluded by reaffirming the country’s longstanding role in global counter-terrorism efforts, declaring that Pakistan remains committed to building a “peaceful and secure world through shared efforts,” backed by its “unmatched sacrifices and operational successes.”
