1 martyred, 3 injured in gun attack on Balochistan Constabulary vehicle in Mastung

Quetta (Web Desk): An officer from the Balochistan Constabulary was martyred while three of his colleagues sustained injuries on Friday when their vehicle came under gunfire from unknown assailants along the National Highway in Balochistan’s Mastung district.

According to Shahid Rind, the spokesperson for the Balochistan government, the attack targeted a vehicle used by an acting Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), who fortunately escaped unharmed.

The spokesperson said that the incident was a deliberate strike against law enforcement personnel.

Emergency services responded promptly, and the wounded officers were transported to a nearby medical facility for urgent care.

Following the shooting, security forces were deployed to the area and have launched a search operation in an effort to track down those responsible.

The authorities have not yet disclosed any information regarding the attackers’ identities or possible motives behind the ambush.
