Pakistan, China agree to enhance counter-terrorism cooperation

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Chinese Ambassador Jian Zedong on Thursday and held detailed discussions on Pakistan-China relations and other matters of shared interest.

The Chinese envoy condemned the suicide bombing that struck near the Islamabad District Courts and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives.

He noted that China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson had also issued a strong condemnation of the attack.

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their resolve to further enhance cooperation, particularly in the areas of security and counter-terrorism.

The interior minister stressed that the Pakistan-China partnership is rooted in mutual confidence and respect, calling China a reliable ally that has consistently supported Pakistan in challenging times.

Ambassador Jian assured that China will continue to provide full support and cooperation to Pakistan.
