Karachi (Web Desk): Aina Asif, a rising name in Pakistan’s drama industry, has opened up about the emotional toll of online criticism. Despite earning appreciation for her acting skills, the 16-year-old says she’s often judged based on her appearance rather than her talent.
In a recent interview, Aina addressed the ongoing confusion about her age. “When I did my first drama, I was 14 — now I’m 16. This is something I’ve never hidden,” she explained. “But even though people know my age, they still leave hurtful comments on social media.”
The actress said the constant scrutiny affects her deeply. “It’s upsetting when people choose to focus on my age, skin tone, or body instead of my work,” she shared. “People joke about me online and question whether I really look 16. This impacts my mental health.”
Aina emphasized that she’s just a teenager and deserves to be treated with more kindness and respect. “I may look older, but I have the heart and mind of a 16-year-old. I wish people would appreciate my performances instead of picking apart my appearance,” she said.
Despite the negativity, Aina Asif continues to impress audiences with her acting, proving that talent goes beyond looks.
