Corps investiture ceremonies held in Peshawar, Lahore and Karachi

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Corps Investiture Ceremonies were held in Peshawar, Lahore and Karachi to honour the bravery and meritorious service of officers and soldiers.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a large number of senior army officers and families of awardees attended the ceremonies.

Corps Commander Peshawar, Lieutenant General Omer Ahmed Bokhari was Chief Guest of the ceremony in Peshawar.

Next of kin of two junior commissioned officers and 47 soldiers received Tamgha-e-Basalat on behalf of Shuhadas. Four officers were awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and 11 officers were awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) for their meritorious services.

In Lahore, Commander Lahore Corps, Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah awarded Tamgha-e-Basalat to next of kin of three junior commissioned officers and 24 soldiers for their supreme sacrifices for the motherland. 28 officers were awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and 72 officers were awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military). Next of kin of Shuhada received their awards posthumously.

In Karachi, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Muhammad Avais Dastgir awarded 10 officers with Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), 4 officers with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) and 16 soldiers with Tamgha-e-Basalat for their meritorious service.

Across all three ceremonies, heartfelt tributes were paid to the Shuhada, and the unwavering commitment of Pakistan Army to national defence and security was honoured with deep reverence.
