Lahore (Staff Report): Punjab government has directed the concerned authorities to ensure foolproof security arrangements on the occasion of Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (R.A.) tomorrow to avoid unforeseen situation.
The martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (AS) is observed with due solemnity on 21st of Ramazan every year.
Majalis will be held and processions will be taken out during which scholars will shed light on the life and martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (R.A).
Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif said that every step should be taken to ensure peace and protection of life and property of the people, adding that law enforcement agencies should remain fully vigilant and alert.
CM Punjab said that processions on this day of mourning should be vigilantly monitored.
He further directed officials to devise an effective monitoring mechanism under the security plan and added that every step should be taken to provide foolproof security to the people.
Meanwhile, The Sindh government has also imposed a one-day ban on pillion riding and the use of ‘heli-cams’ for media coverage for Youm-e-Ali. The ban will come into force from Friday midnight in Karachi and Hyderabad in order to control the law and order situation.
