ECP releases updated party positions for reserved seats in KP Assembly

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released a revised party position for the reserved seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, reflecting significant changes.

According to the updated notification, one reserved seat each for Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and Pakistan Peoples Party has been revoked. The success notifications of JUI-F’s female member Balqees Bibi, PPP’s Sajida Tabsum, and minority member Gurlal have been withdrawn.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has been allocated a new reserved seat for women, and the notification confirming the success of Syeda Sonia Hussain has been issued.

The Election Commission also stated that there will be a draw (toss) between Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTI-P) for one reserved seat.

The updated distribution of reserved seats is as follows:

JUI-F: 9 seats
PML-N: 9 seats
PPP: 5 seats
ANP: 1 seat
PTI Parliamentarians: 1 seat
