Pakistan faces persistent threat from cross-border terrorism: FO

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Foreign Office spokesperson has stated that Pakistan continues to face persistent threats from active terrorist elements across its borders, with some terrorist groups receiving support from rival countries.

The spokesperson highlighted that Pakistan is among the countries most affected by terrorism, with over 90,000 civilians having lost their lives so far—testament to the sacrifices made for the nation’s peace and security.

“These sacrifices have not only protected the people of Pakistan but have also contributed to safeguarding lives across the region and internationally,” the spokesperson said. The tragedy of the innocent children at the Army Public School remains a powerful symbol of Pakistan’s resolve against terrorism.

The spokesperson added that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies continue to carry out effective operations against terrorists, and the country remains committed to eliminating terrorism entirely. He called on the international community to recognize Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and to strengthen cooperation in this regard.
