Gold price increases by Rs10,800, reaches to Rs455,136 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices continued their upward momentum in Pakistan on Monday, recording a substantial increase in both local and international markets.

According to the latest figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs10,800, reaching Rs455,136 compared to Rs444,336 in the previous trading session.

The rate of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also posted a notable gain of Rs9,720, climbing to Rs389,600 from Rs379,880. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs8,824, settling at Rs357,317 against the earlier rate of Rs348,493.

On the global front, gold prices witnessed a strong rally, with the metal advancing by $108 per ounce to stand at $4,327, up from $4,219 recorded previously.

Silver prices also moved higher in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs230 to Rs7,509 from Rs7,279, while the rate for 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs197, reaching Rs6,396 compared to Rs6,199.

In international trading, silver registered gains as well, with its price rising by $2.30 per ounce to $70.30 from the previous level of $68.00 per ounce.
