Karachi (Web Desk): Gold price witnessed an increase in the local market, with the rate of 24-karat gold per tola climbing by Rs3,500 to reach Rs503,462, up from the previous day’s closing level of Rs499,962, as per data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (ASGJA).
In a similar movement, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs3,001, reaching Rs431,637 compared to Rs428,636 a day earlier.
Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold also recorded an upward shift of Rs2,751, settling at Rs395,681 against the prior rate of Rs392,930.
The international bullion market also reflected a firm trend, where gold rose by $35 per ounce, moving from $4,776 to $4,811.
Silver prices followed the same direction domestically, with per tola silver increasing by Rs144 to Rs8,404 from Rs8,260. Likewise, 10 grams of silver edged higher by Rs124, standing at Rs7,205 compared to Rs7,081 in the previous session.
In global trade, silver also gained momentum, rising by $1.44 per ounce to $79.20 from $77.76.
