Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices saw an upward shift in the local market on Tuesday, with the rate for 24 karat gold climbing by Rs600.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the precious metal was traded at Rs339,400 per tola, compared to Rs338,800 during the previous session.
Similarly, the value of 10 grams of 24 karat gold rose by Rs514, settling at Rs290,980, while 22 karat gold also experienced a modest increase, reaching Rs266,741 from the earlier Rs266,261.
In contrast, silver prices remained stable, with no changes recorded in the market. The cost of one tola of silver held steady at Rs3,234, and 10 grams were priced unchanged at Rs2,772.
Meanwhile, on the global front, gold prices edged higher by $6, moving from $3,218 to $3,224. Silver also registered a slight gain internationally, with a five-cent increase bringing it to $31.35.
