India govt faces severe criticism over ME policy, politician terms Modi’s stance on Iran as hypocritical

New Delhi (Web Desk): Strong criticism is emerging from within India over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies regarding the Middle East.

Indian politician Anand Bhadoria has sharply condemned Modi’s role, calling it “hypocritical and despicable,” sparking a political storm in the country.

Bhadoria posed pointed questions to the BJP government, asking why Modi visited Israel when innocent civilians were being killed in Gaza and which global leader, apart from Modi, undertook such a visit. He also questioned on whose advice the visit was made.

He further accused Modi of bowing to the United States and compromising regional peace by following the agendas of global powers.

In his statement, Bhadoria praised the Iranian Supreme Leader and leadership, saying that while they accepted martyrdom, unlike Modi, they did not bow before the United States.

Indian observers say these critical voices reflect growing unease among elected representatives in India over Modi’s “pro-Israel” policies. The opposition believes that the Modi government has abandoned India’s traditional neutral foreign policy, turning the country into a controversial actor in the region.
