In phone call, Putin, Trump discuss Iran-Israel situation, Ukraine talks

Moscow/ Washington (Web Desk/Agencies): Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump engaged in a 50-minute phone conversation on Saturday, addressing rising tensions in the Middle East and ongoing peace discussions concerning Ukraine, according to Putin’s foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov.

During the call, Putin updated Trump on his recent meetings with Iranian and Israeli officials and reiterated Russia’s commitment to facilitating dialogue over the Iranian nuclear program.

Putin expressed deep concern over the recent military actions targeting Iran, warning that such moves could intensify regional instability and trigger unforeseen consequences across the Middle East.

He emphasized Russia’s willingness to support diplomatic efforts and proposed practical measures aimed at encouraging progress in US-Iran negotiations.

Ushakov highlighted that Russia remains steadfast in its approach to promoting peaceful resolutions and is prepared to take on a mediating role if necessary.
