Gaza: At least 23,968 people have been killed in the territory in 100 days of Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave, says the health ministry in Gaza Strip.
The ministry said it had recorded another 60,582 wounded since fighting erupted on October 7.
With Israel’s ongoing aggression nearing its 100-day mark, hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets across the world to protest against the war, demanding an end to Tel Aviv’s offensive.
A large number of people gathered outside the United States embassy in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, to send a message to Washington, a staunch ally of Tel Aviv.
People are holding up placards that read: “‘Stop the genocide’, ‘Bombing children is not self-defence’.”
On Saturday, Israel accused Hamas of planning to attack its embassy in Sweden as part of an expansion by the militant group into Europe, where authorities announced the arrests of several suspects last month.
In a statement following up on the arrests announced by Danish, German and Swedish authorities, Israel's Mossad intelligence agency named an alleged Hamas network member in Sweden, without specifying whether he was also in custody.
There was no immediate response from Hamas, which in the past has said its policy was to limit attacks to Israel, the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip, all territories where it seeks a Palestinian state.
