Islamabad (Web Desk/Agencies): Outgoing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was given guard of honour at the Prime Minister's House on Monday as he handed over the responsibilities of his office to caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar.
The former PM reviewed the guard of honour as the contingents of the armed forces presented salute to him.
Following the ceremony, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar bid farewell to the outgoing prime minister.
Earlier today, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar took oath as the 8th caretaker prime minister of Pakistan.
President Dr Arif Alvi administered oath to him at a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
Former premier Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, members of ex-federal cabinet, and other high-ranking officials attended the ceremony.
