In phone call with DPM Dar, EU VP Kaja Kallas lauds Pakistan's role in facilitating US-Iran negotiations

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday held a telephonic conversation with High Representative and Vice President of the European Union (EU) Kaja Kallas to discuss the prevailing regional situation and ongoing diplomatic engagement.

During the call, Dar welcomed the steady and active communication between Pakistan and the European Union in the context of current developments, and briefed her on the progress and outcomes of the recent Islamabad Talks.

Kallas praised Pakistan’s positive and constructive role in enabling direct talks between the United States and Iran, acknowledging its efforts in bringing the two sides together.

Both leaders stressed that dialogue and diplomatic efforts remain crucial for resolving tensions, underscoring the need for continued engagement to move towards peaceful solutions.

They also reviewed the upward trajectory of Pakistan-EU cooperation, expressing satisfaction over growing ties and agreeing to stay closely connected on all matters of mutual concern.
