Israeli attacks kill 634 civiliansover 800,000 displaced in Lebanon

Beirut (Web Desk): At least 634 civilians have been killed so far during the ongoing conflict in Lebanon due to Israeli airstrikes and retaliatory actions by Hezbollah. Among the dead are 91 children and 47 women.

More than 1,500 people have been injured, while the number of officially registered displaced persons has reached 816,000. Of these, around 126,000 people are currently staying in shelters.

According to reports, Israeli fighter jets and drones are carrying out strikes on several towns in southern and eastern Lebanon.

The affected areas include Beit Yahoun, Kounine, Qabrikha, Tayr Harfa, Majdal Zoun, Kafra, and Yater. Authorities have also issued evacuation orders to residents in some of these regions due to the worsening security situation.

The escalation began after Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel following attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, which reportedly resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Israel has intensified its airstrikes and ground operations inside Lebanon.
