Netanyahu expels Spain from Gaza ceasefire HQ centre after condemnation over Israeli strikes in Lebanon

Tel Aviv (Web Desk): Israel has announced its decision to remove Spain from the civil-military coordination center established for the Gaza ceasefire process, according to Arab media reports.

The coordination mechanism is part of the U.S. President’s 20-point Gaza peace plan, aimed at facilitating the implementation of a ceasefire and streamlining the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.

Reports suggest that the move comes after Spain’s Prime Minister strongly criticized Israeli military operations in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran.

The Israeli government stated that Spain’s recent statements and policy stance are not aligned with the framework of joint cooperation within the coordination mechanism, leading to its exclusion.

Diplomatic sources warn that the decision could raise further concerns about the peace process at the international level and may also increase tensions among involved parties.
