Afghans launch online movement to protect rights of women oppressed by Taliban regime

Kabul (Web Desk): A growing online protest movement has taken shape in Afghanistan, with people rallying to defend the rights of women who are facing increasing pressure under Taliban regime.

Reports from the Afghan publication Hasht-e Subh Daily claim that the Taliban have detained dozens of women, using dress code violations as a pretext, a practice widely criticized as unjust and harsh.

In response, millions of individuals both inside Afghanistan and across the international community have joined digital campaigns, expressing solidarity with Afghan women and condemning what they see as ongoing oppression.

Global human rights organizations, including the United Nations (UN), have also raised serious alarm over the situation, urging authorities to ensure the protection of women’s fundamental rights.

Experts and analysts warn that continued restrictions on women’s education, mobility, and participation in public life are isolating Afghan society and driving it further away from social and economic progress.
