PM Shehbaz appreciates overseas Pakistanis for record remittances in Dec 2025

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has warmly acknowledged the contribution of Pakistanis living abroad after they sent an unprecedented $3.6 billion in remittances during December 2025, a figure that stands well above what was recorded in the same month a year earlier.

In a statement, he noted that the 16.5 percent year-on-year increase in these inflows is a clear sign of the growing faith overseas Pakistanis have in the government’s economic vision and policy direction.

PM Shehbaz remarked that by ignoring misleading narratives and continuing to support the country’s rebuilding and progress through their financial contributions, expatriates have shown a powerful sense of patriotism and attachment to their roots.

Describing overseas Pakistanis as one of the nation’s greatest strengths, the prime minister said both he and the people of Pakistan take immense pride in their dedication.

He added that ensuring better services, protection and overall well-being for Pakistanis abroad remains firmly among the government’s highest priorities.
