Gold price increases by Rs10,700, reaches to Rs454,262 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices saw a sharp jump on Friday, with the rate of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs10,700 to hit Rs454,262, compared to Thursday’s price of Rs443,562.

According to data shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the upward movement was also reflected in smaller weight categories, as the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs9,174 to reach Rs389,456.

Likewise, 10 grams of 22-karat gold became costlier by Rs8,410, bringing the new rate to Rs357,014.

The international market followed the same trend, with global gold prices climbing by $107 to touch $4,319.

Silver also became more expensive in the local market. Per tola silver gained Rs232 and stood at Rs6,684, while the price of 10 grams rose by Rs199 to settle at Rs5,730. International silver rates moved up as well, rising by $2.32 to $64.12.
