Karachi (Web Desk): The price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs2,300 on Thursday, reaching Rs282,800 per tola, up from Rs280,500 the previous day.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association (ASSJA), the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,971, climbing to Rs242,455 from Rs240,484.
The price of 10-gram 22-karat gold also saw an increase, rising to Rs222,250 from Rs220,443.
On the other hand, silver prices remained stable, with per tola silver holding at Rs3,450 and 10 grams priced at Rs2,957.81.
In the international market, gold saw a slight uptick, with its price rising by $23, from $2,693 to $2,716 per ounce.
