PM Shehbaz leaves for solidarity visit to Qatar following Israeli airstrikes

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday left for Doha on a one-day visit aimed at showing solidarity with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the royal family, and the people of Qatar after Israeli airstrikes struck residential areas of the Qatari capital

The prime minister was accompanied by a high-level delegation that included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

During his visit, PM Shehbaz will hold talks with the Emir of Qatar to convey Pakistan’s unwavering support in the face of what he termed unjust Israeli aggression carried out in clear defiance of international law.

He is expected to emphasize that Pakistan and Qatar enjoy brotherly relations built on shared values and faith, and that Pakistan has always stood by Qatar in difficult moments and will continue to do so.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for consultations on Israel’s ongoing hostilities in the region, its unwarranted strikes on various countries, and measures needed to promote peace and stability.

The visit reflects Pakistan’s firm commitment to safeguarding Qatar’s sovereignty and security while underscoring its broader role in supporting peace efforts across the Middle East.
