Lahore (Staff Report): The National Highways and Motorways police on Monday issued a challan ticket to former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for over-speeding.
As per details, Abbasi was fined Rs 750 for driving his vehicle at a speed higher than the prescribed one near the Ravi Toll plaza.
According to the ticket, Abbasi’s vehicle was moving at 132 KM/H while the set limit by NHA was 120 Kilometers per hour; the vehicle was being driven by the driver of the former premier.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi served as the prime minister of Pakistan following the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the Panama Papers Case.
The PML-N leadership directed former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi to file their nomination papers from NA-53 for contesting the elections against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan.
