Bodies of 9 passengers killed in Balochistan sent to hometowns in Punjab 

Dera Ghazi Khan (Web Desk): The bodies of nine passengers who were abducted and killed by unidentified armed men in the Sur-Dakai area, on the border between Balochistan’s Zhob and Loralai districts, last night, were received on Friday morning.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Usman Khalid, along with Commandant Border Military Police Asad Khan Chandia, personally oversaw the transportation of the deceased to their respective areas across Punjab.

Special arrangements were made for the secure and honourable transfer, with officials accompanying the bodies until they reached their destinations.

The individuals killed in the attack were identified as Muhammad Irfan, son of Ghulam Akbar from Dera Ghazi Khan, Sabir Hussain, son of Muhammad Riaz from Gujranwala, Muhammad Asif, son of Sultan from Chowk Qureshi, Ghulam Saeed, son of Ghulam Sarwar from Khanewal, Muhammad Junaid from Lahore, Muhammad Bilal, son of Abdul Waheed from Attock, and Bilawal from Gujrat. Among the victims were also two real brothers, Jabbar and Usman, who hailed from Dunyapur. 

The two siblings were reportedly travelling to attend the funeral of their father when they were killed.

According to Shahid Rind, spokesperson for the Balochistan government, the attack was one of several carried out in the province on the same night.

He attributed the violence to groups commonly referred to as Fitna al Hindustan, which is a term used for certain militant factions operating in the region.

The banned group Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) later claimed responsibility, stating that the killings took place after they had blocked the road linking Musakhail-Makhtar with Khajuri.
