Lahore (Web Desk): In a concerted effort to enforce government-mandated sugar prices, price control authorities have taken action against 262 shopkeepers found violating the fixed rates.

Over the past 24 hours alone, 35 individuals have been arrested while 227 others have been fined for non-compliance.

According to a spokesperson for the Price Control Authority, a total of 30,961 actions have been carried out so far against those flouting the regulated prices.

Out of these, 2,227 individuals have been arrested, and 373 formal cases have been registered across different regions.

The latest enforcement operations include targeted crackdowns in several divisions, with 15 violations reported in Lahore Division, 21 in Gujranwala, and 38 in Faisalabad.
