Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed five terrorists including Kharji ringleader Shafiullah alias Shafi, in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan, the military’s media wing stated on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged khwarij’s location, resultantly, five terrorists, including Kharji ring leader Shafiullah alias Shafi, were sent to hell.
The statement said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces, as well as the target killing of innocent civilians.
It added that a sanitization operation was being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area.
“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid tribute to the security forces for killing five terrorists during successful IBO in Dera Ismail Khan.
In separate messages, the president and prime minister appreciated the bravery of the security forces.
“The security forces are conducting operations to eliminate the menace of terrorism. The entire nation is united against terrorism. The operations against Fitna-al-Khawarij will continue until the complete elimination of terrorism,” the president said.
He also reiterated the commitment to the complete elimination of terrorism from the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated the security forces for the successful operation against terrorists in DI Khan.
He praised the professional skills of the officers and personnel participating in the operation for killing five terrorists including the terrorist leader among others.
“We will continue the war against the scourge of terrorism until its complete elimination from the country. The entire nation stands in support of its brave forces in the war against terrorism. The people of Pakistan also pay tribute to the security forces who participated in the war against the enemies of the country without caring for their lives,” PM Shehbaz stated.
