In phone call, Turkish president, UAE counterpart discuss bilateral ties and regional developments

Ankara (Web Desk): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which both leaders discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and global affairs in detail.

According to the Turkish Presidency, the two leaders also exchanged views on the challenges facing the region in light of the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States.

President Erdoğan described the current situation as unfortunate and stressed the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to ensure stability in the region.

He also highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation with the UAE in areas such as trade, energy, and national security, adding that Türkiye remains in continuous contact with all relevant regional countries to help maintain peace and stability.

He further emphasized that a peaceful resolution to the Iran–US conflict should be pursued through diplomatic channels. Both leaders agreed on the importance of strengthening dialogue and cooperation to enhance regional security.
