Interior Minister Naqvi directs strict action against immigration mafias

Islamabad (Web Desk): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed unwavering and across-the-board action against networks engaged in illegal immigration, stressing that such elements must be dealt with firmly.

He made these remarks while chairing a meeting in Islamabad to evaluate the working of the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration wing.

The minister underlined that individuals involved in human smuggling should not be shown any relaxation, noting that Pakistan’s global standing must be protected at all costs.

Naqvi directed the FIA to ensure strict application of immigration laws and emphasized the need to further enhance the immigration clearance mechanism at airports.

The meeting also reviewed steps against organized groups involved in professional begging.

The interior minister ordered a strong crackdown on the beggar mafia along with those who support and facilitate their operations.
