Interior Minister Naqvi visits Lahor airport, reviews passengers’ facilitation, immigration process

Lahore (Web Desk): Federal Interior and Narcotics Control Minister Mohsin Naqvi made a surprise visit to Lahore Airport to review passenger facilitation and the efficiency of immigration procedures.

He walked through the immigration area, inspected the counters, and reviewed the system that links a traveler’s identity card and passport with their complete travel record.

Naqvi appreciated the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) director and his team for putting in place a faster, more organized mechanism.

The minister also met passengers flying out of the country and those who had just landed, asking them about the duration and quality of the immigration process.

Travelers said they were pleased with the improved service, adding that the entire procedure was wrapped up within two minutes.

They credited Naqvi’s continuous monitoring visits for the noticeable uplift in airport operations.

Naqvi reiterated that any passenger holding proper and valid documents faces no restrictions and will not be stopped from traveling abroad.

However, he underlined that individuals presenting incomplete, misleading, or fake documents will not be allowed to board flights under any circumstances.

He noted that the country’s reputation is a shared responsibility, saying that no one whose actions could bring embarrassment to Pakistan would be given clearance to travel.
