Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman stresses systemic reforms, role of youth in shaping Pakistan’s future

Sargodha (Web Desk): Professor Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP), has emphasized the pivotal role of youth in shaping Pakistan’s future.

Addressing a seminar titled "Pakistan 2030: Challenges, Imkanaat aur Nai Rahein" (Challenges, Possibilities and the Way Forward), organized by the APSUP, at University of Sargodha on Wednesday, said that Pakistan’s greatest strength lies in its young population, whose potential must be harnessed to drive national progress and prosperity.

Paying tribute to Mian Amer Mahmood, Dr. Abdul Rehman hailed him as a true patriot whose contributions to education have transformed the nation’s academic landscape.

He noted that Mahmood’s efforts led to the establishment of over 400 colleges and three prominent universities, saying, “Only those nations live on that remember and honor their heroes.”

Reflecting on Pakistan’s journey over nearly eight decades, Dr. Abdul Rehman urged introspection into the nation’s systems and institutions.

The APSUP chief questioned why crucial sectors such as healthcare, education, justice, and law enforcement continue to struggle, stressing the urgent need for systemic reforms.

He highlighted that true success in this world and the hereafter lies in following the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), asserting that a strong and prosperous society can only be built through individual moral improvement.

Addressing the students, he remarked, “If you stand united in your purpose, no power on earth can stop you from moving forward.”

Professor Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman also pointed out that over 60 percent of Pakistan’s population comprises youth — the country’s most powerful resource — and called for channeling this energy toward national development.

Concluding his address, Professor Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman shared his vision of seeing Sargodha become a province in the future.
