Islamabad exposes fake anti-Pakistan campaign by Afghan media

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has revealed that a recent anti-Pakistan campaign circulating through Afghan media and social media accounts was based entirely on falsehoods, deception, and AI-generated fake content.

According to Information Ministry, Afghan accounts spread baseless allegations against the Pakistan Army, accusing it of desecrating mosques and the Quran. One video in particular gained traction, falsely accusing military personnel of using dogs inside a mosque.

However, social media verification tools confirmed that the video was not based on real footage but was artificially created using artificial intelligence (AI).

The Ministry spokesperson stated that Afghan accounts attempted to incite religious sentiments for political purposes, and after 14 hours, these accounts admitted the video was fake.

The Ministry clarified that these efforts were part of a propaganda campaign aimed at undermining the reputation of Pakistan's armed forces and state institutions, orchestrated under the influence of India.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reiterated its commitment to exposing and combating anti-Pakistan propaganda at all levels.
