Indian media acknowledges strategic gains of Pakistan-Saudi-Turkiye defence agreement

Islamabad (Web Desk): India has begun to acknowledge the strategic value of closer defence ties between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye, with Indian media highlighting the potential advantages the emerging partnership could offer Islamabad.

An Indian media report has characterised the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Turkiye defence agreement as a significant development for Pakistan, particularly in terms of strengthening its military capabilities. 
India Today reported that closer defence coordination, combined military drills and the transfer of military technology could help Pakistan further develop its defence potential.

The report also pointed to intelligence cooperation and collaboration in defence manufacturing as areas that could enhance Pakistan’s preparedness for future combat requirements.

According to India Today, the agreement may also open the way for Pakistan to benefit from Turkiye’s sophisticated defence technologies, particularly its capabilities in drone warfare and electronic warfare.

Defence analysts cited in the report observed that the combination of Turkiye’s technological strengths, Saudi Arabia’s financial and strategic resources, and Pakistan’s operational and military expertise could produce a powerful defence partnership.

They further assessed that the expanding military relationship among the three countries could create an emerging strategic challenge for India as cooperation continues to deepen.

The fact that Indian media itself is drawing attention to the potential military advantages of the agreement reflects a notable acknowledgement of its strategic significance and the possible impact of the trilateral partnership on the regional security environment.
