Pakistan, Saudi military leaders discuss strengthening strategic ties

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistan and Saudi Arabia's military leadership has reiterated the importance of bolstering their long-standing strategic cooperation. This was discussed during a meeting between Saudi Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, General Fayyadh Bin Hameed Al Rowaili, and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The two military leaders focused on enhancing defence collaboration, security cooperation, and joint efforts against terrorism. General Al Rowaili commended Pakistan’s continued support to the Saudi Armed Forces across various domains, stressing the need to deepen bilateral military ties.

Before the meeting, General Al Rowaili paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs by laying a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and was honoured with a guard of honour upon his arrival at GHQ.
