Major among 3 troops martyred, 4 Indian-sponsored terrorists killed in Mastung terrorist attack

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): In a targeted operation against Indian-backed terrorists, a remote-controlled explosive device struck a security forces’ vehicle in Mastung, resulting in the martyrdom of three Pakistani soldiers, including Major Muhammad Rizwan Tahir. Four terrorists were killed in the subsequent clearance operation.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists targeted the convoy with an IED, killing Major Muhammad Rizwan Tahir, Naik Ibn Amin, and Lance Naik Muhammad Younis.

The ISPR stated that Major Rizwan was a courageous officer who had participated in numerous counter-terrorism operations and always led his troops from the front.

Security forces conducted a clearance operation following the blast, during which four terrorists were eliminated. The operation is ongoing to completely root out terrorist elements from the area.

The ISPR emphasized that the security forces are determined to eradicate terrorism, especially those sponsored by India, and the sacrifices of brave soldiers strengthen this resolve.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned an attack carried out by terrorists of Fitna-al-Hindustan on security forces vehicle in district Mastung, Balochistan.

In their separate statements, they paid tribute to Major Muhammad Rizwan Tahir, Naik Ibn Ameen and Lance Naik Muhammad Younas, who embraced martyrdom in the attack.

The president said entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its security forces in the war against terrorism.

He said terrorist elements operating under Indian patronage will soon be eliminated.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also reiterated government's resolve to completely eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.

The prime minister said that sacrifices of security forces in fight against terrorism are unparalleled.
