Islamabad (Web Desk/Agencies): Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has embarked on a significant diplomatic and economic mission to London, aiming to strengthen ties with key stakeholders in the British government and financial sector.
Upon his arrival at Heathrow Airport, the finance minister was received by Pakistan’s High Commissioner Dr Muhammad Faisal, along with officials from the High Commission.

Over the course of three days, the minister will engage with a broad range of interlocutors, including senior officials, global investors, banking executives, and business leaders, in a bid to promote Pakistan’s evolving economic landscape and highlight the country’s commitment to investor-friendly reforms.
His schedule includes delivering keynote remarks at several investment-centered gatherings, where he intends to present a comprehensive overview of Pakistan’s fiscal direction, reform agenda, and sectoral opportunities.
A highlight of his visit is his participation in an investment roundtable titled “Days to Access Pakistan,” organized by the global financial services firm Jefferies. This event serves as a platform for meaningful dialogue between Pakistani officials and international investors looking to explore emerging markets.
In a separate engagement with the UK’s technology investment community, the minister will emphasize Pakistan’s growing potential in strategic industries such as artificial intelligence, minerals, and health services.
He is accompanied on this visit by Muhammad Ali, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Investment, who will join him in presenting Pakistan’s case to potential partners.
The minister will also hold high-level talks at the UK Treasury with Financial Secretary Lord Livermore, among others, to discuss macroeconomic cooperation and bilateral financial priorities.
His meetings extend to influential figures such as Hamish Falconer, a British minister responsible for the Middle East and South Asia, and senior personnel from the Commonwealth and Development Office.
Further interactions are scheduled with the leadership of institutions such as the UK Office for Budget Responsibility, the Bank of England, and leading global banks like Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered.
He will also engage with executives from the UK arm of Cargill Global Trading to explore trade and investment synergies.
A networking dinner hosted by Pakistan’s High Commission in London will offer an informal setting to interact with members of the UK-based investor community and prominent business figures.
Concluding his visit, Senator Aurangzeb will participate in curated Q&A sessions with select international and British media, aiming to reinforce Pakistan’s message of economic resilience and openness to global partnerships.
