Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz approves 6 bio-gas plants

Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the establishment of 6 new bio-gas plants, marking a significant step towards promoting clean energy and reducing environmental impact.

In a meeting chaired by Maryam Nawaz, the decision was made to launch a Waste-to-Energy Project in Lahore, which will convert waste into energy, helping address electricity shortages.

The chief minister also approved the inclusion of three pilot bio-gas projects in the Ideal Village Program, aimed at solving energy issues in rural areas.

During the meeting, Maryam Nawaz emphasized the need for practical proposals for small-scale bio-gas plants, adding that Punjab has outpaced others in the field of clean energy.

She further stated that the bio-gas plants will provide bio-fertilizer for crops and affordable gas for domestic use. Additionally, the Waste-to-Energy Project will provide cost-effective electricity for electric buses and metro buses.
