CM Maryam directs timely completion of all water filtration plants' projects in Punjab

Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has reiterated that every citizen has the fundamental right to access safe and clean drinking water.

Presiding over a meeting in Lahore, she directed the relevant departments to take all necessary measures to guarantee the availability of clean drinking water for people across the province.

During the meeting, the chief minister also ordered officials to speed up work on all 1,886 water filtration plant schemes and ensure their completion at the earliest.

The meeting also reviewed proposals to set up 670 clean drinking water bottling plants in different parts of Punjab as part of efforts to strengthen the province’s safe water supply system.
