Security forces kill 8 Khwarij in two KP operations 

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Eight Khwarij were killed by the security forces in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in Sararogha area of South Waziristan on reported presence of Khwarij.

“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location as a result of which two Khwarij, including Kharji ringleader Khan Muhammad alias Khoryay, were killed, while two khwarij were apprehended,” the statement said.

It added that kharji Khan Muhammad alias Khoryay was involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area, including target killing and extortion. He was highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies (LEAs)  and government had fixed head money of one million rupees on him.

The military’s media wing said that another IBO was conducted in Lakki Marwat and after an intense fire exchange, six Khwarij were successfully neutralized by the security forces.

It added that sanitization operations were being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating eight Khawarij in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a statement, President Zardari said that entire nation stands with the brave security forces for the complete eradication of Fitna Al Khawarij.

The president also praised the bravery of the security forces for killing a wanted terrorist involved in terrorist activities during the operation.

He expressed national resolve to root out the menace of terrorism.

In his statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for killing eight Khawarij, including a wanted terrorist, in these operations.

The prime minister said that entire nation stands with the Pakistan Army in war against terrorism.

He expressed determination to completely eradicate all types of terrorism from the country.
