Meta launches Instagram plus subscription service worldwide

California (Web Desk): Meta has officially launched its Instagram Plus subscription service worldwide, introducing a range of additional features for users beyond the standard free version.

According to reports, Instagram Plus is an optional subscription service designed to offer enhanced personalization tools, greater control, and advanced content creation features.

The company clarified that the regular Instagram app will continue to remain free for all users, while the new paid version is aimed at those who want a more customized experience and access to exclusive tools.

With Instagram Plus, users will get extended features such as Stories remaining visible for 48 hours instead of the usual 24 hours. The Story Spotlight feature will also allow stories to be more prominently displayed to friends.

In addition, the service includes animated reactions, improved analytics tools, and enhanced viewing options. One notable feature allows users to view stories without notifying others.

Meta said that testing of Instagram Plus began in May 2026, and following successful trials, the service has now been rolled out globally for users.
