Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday congratulated the Labour Party leader Keir Starmer on his victory in the parliamentary election in the United Kingdom.
“Pakistan looks forward to working with the new UK government to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest,” the president wrote on his on his X timeline.
President Zardari expressed the hope that Keir Starmer would play his role in addressing the shared challenges faced by the world.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (FM) Ishaq Dar on Friday congratulated Labour Party leader Keir Starmer on the historic victory in the parliamentary election in the United Kingdom (UK).
“I extend my heartfelt felicitations to Keir Starmer, Leader of The Labour Party on the historic victory in the parliamentary election in the United Kingdom. Pakistan and UK share deep-rooted and broad-based ties founded in shared history and people-to-people contacts,” the deputy prime minister wrote on his X timeline.
FM Dar expressed confidence that under Starmar’s stewardship, the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the UK would be further strengthened and both countries would work together for global peace, prosperity and development.
