Mishal calls for international intervention in Yasin Malik case

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Kashmiri leader Mishaal Malik, while addressing a Kashmir rally in Rawalpindi, emphasized that the people of occupied Kashmir are facing extreme atrocities at the hands of Indian occupying forces. She condemned the inhuman treatment being meted out to Yasin Malik in Indian prisons, stating that he has been illegally sentenced.

Mishaal Malik declared that today marks the day for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination, and announced the launch of a public outreach campaign in the last week of November.

She warned that Asia is standing on a powder keg, and if it explodes, the responsibility will fall on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She further stated that both Pakistan and India are nuclear powers, and what is happening in Kashmir is not just human rights violations but an outright genocide. Mishaal Malik pointed out that atrocities are being committed indiscriminately against Kashmiri youth, women, the elderly, and children.

Mishaal Malik called on the international community to take notice of the detention and sentencing of the Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, who she said is a representative of the Kashmiri people.

She reiterated that the people of Pakistan stand with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for freedom, urging India to stop its brutal oppression of Kashmiri civilians.

She also accused Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Indian Prime Minister Modi of breaking all records of cruelty and barbarism, and assured that until the Kashmiri people are granted the right to self-determination, Pakistan and the Kashmiri people will continue to stand by them.
