Lahore (Web Desk): Renowned journalist and the Executive Director NEO News, Nasrullah Malik, was honoured with the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on Pakistan Day for his services in the field of journalism.

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, on behalf of the President of Pakistan, conferred civil awards on distinguished personalities in recognition of their outstanding contributions in various fields during a solemn ceremony at the Governor's House on Sunday.

Nasrullah Malik has experienced a long journey of three decades in journalism, always advocating for fearless, bold, and impartial journalism. He is recognized as a senior journalist and a bold analyst, known for presenting insightful analyses on political, social, diplomatic, national security, and economic issues.

He has consistently ensured that the voice of the people reaches the corridors of power and highlighted public hardships in the face of natural disasters, floods, and the war against terrorism. He is always among the journalists who visit the affected areas immediately and raise the voice of the victims.

Malik's journey in journalism began after he earned his Master's degree from Punjab University, after which he became part of the renowned newspaper Nawa-i-Waqt and later joined the founding members of ARY News His program "Sab Acha Hai" also gained significant popularity.

Meanwhile, the Punjab governor also conferred civil awards on other distinguished personalities in recognition of their outstanding contributions in various fields.

The recipients of Sitara-e-Imtiaz award included senior journalist Salman Ghani, Ms Salma Awan, while three posthumous awards were awarded to the late Colin David, (received by his widow Professor Rukhsana David), Mian Aziz Ahmed (late), whose award was received by his son Mian Rafiq.

The recipients of the Presidential Pride of Performance Award included Hamid Rana, Sheba Arshad, Ms Fariha Pervez and Aamir Ashfaq.

The recipients of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz award, besides Nasrullah Malik, included Rafiuddin, Ammad Shakeel Butt, Ms Rabab Sikandar, senior anchor Muzammil Suharwardi, renowned journalists Kamran Shahid, and Muneeb Farooq.

The ceremony was attended by government officials and civil society members.
