NDMA alert: Thunderstorms, rain with possible hail expected in part of Pakistan during next 24 hours

Islamabad (Web Desk): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a weather alert for several parts of the country, warning of heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours.

According to the alert, a new cloud system is entering the country, expected to bring heavy rains and hailstorms in various regions.

The Meteorological Department and NDMA have forecasted thunderstorms and rainfall across multiple districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In hilly areas, rainfall may increase the intensity of cold weather. The alert also warns that hailstorms in some areas could damage standing crops.

NDMA has directed all relevant agencies to remain on high alert to respond promptly to any emergencies.

Citizens are advised to stay away from electricity poles and weak structures during rain and thunderstorms, to check weather conditions before traveling in hilly regions, and for farmers to take precautionary measures to protect their crops.
