Mumbai (Web Desk): Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has dismissed viral reports claiming her alleged statement about marrying Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling the news “fake” and misleading.
Known for her bold opinions and outspoken nature in the Indian film industry, Kangana Ranaut has often remained in the spotlight due to her controversial remarks.
The issue surfaced after several social media posts went viral, especially following political developments involving BJP leader Raghav Chadha. Amid the political buzz, a meme page shared a fabricated quote attributed to Kangana Ranaut, suggesting that she was willing to marry Rahul Gandhi if he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The fake post quickly spread online and was falsely circulated as her official statement in parts of the Indian media.
Reacting strongly, Kangana Ranaut shared a screenshot of the viral post on her Instagram story and clarified that the claim was completely false. She expressed disappointment over the spread of misinformation and criticized those responsible for circulating it.
She stated that such fake news is “deeply unfortunate” and added that even in politics, women are not being given proper respect and dignity. She also condemned those spreading fabricated stories, saying they should be ashamed of promoting such misinformation.
