Gold price increases by Rs500, reaches to Rs359,500 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices in the local market saw a modest increase on Monday, with the cost of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs500.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), the yellow metal was traded at Rs359,500, up from Rs359,000 recorded on the previous trading day.

Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold experienced an upward shift of Rs429, reaching Rs308,213 compared to the earlier rate of Rs307,784.

The 10-gram rate for 22-karat gold also climbed, settling at Rs282,529 from the prior value of Rs282,145.
Meanwhile, silver rates remained unchanged. The per tola price held steady at Rs39,530, and 10 grams continued to trade at Rs3,389.

On the global front, gold prices increased slightly by $5, reaching $3,368 per ounce, up from $3,363. Silver also witnessed a small gain internationally, with the price per ounce moving to $37.20 from the previous $37.01, as per the association’s report.
