Lahore (Staff Report): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has suspended party membership of former provincial minister Rana Mashhood owing to his controversial statement.
“PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has suspended Mashood’s party membership and formed a three-member committee to probe the issue,” PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, former provincial minister, while speaking to a private TV channel, hinted that the provincial government changing hands from the PTI to the PML-N as the matters between the party and establishment had improved.
However, the PML-N had distanced itself from Mashhood’s statement.
Attribution of an obvious vested statement by Rana Mashhood is baseless and regrettable. Such irresponsible expressions are detrimental to stability in the country.
