Trump claims Iran has agreed not to have nuclear weapons, says will meet Khamenei if things "workout"  

Washington (Web Desk):Donald Trump has indicated that a meeting with Iran’s Supreme Leader could be possible in the future, depending on developments in ongoing diplomatic efforts between the two sides.

In an interview, Trump said that the United States is currently engaged in discussions with Iran’s leadership and that a meeting with Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei “may happen at some point,” though he stressed it would depend on the evolving situation.

He added that negotiations with Iran could lead to positive outcomes, noting that the situation remains fluid and subject to change.

Trump also confirmed that he had spoken in a “firm and angry” tone to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a previous phone call, saying he was frustrated over Israel’s continued military operations in Lebanon.

According to US media reports, Trump allegedly expressed strong displeasure during the call, reportedly calling Netanyahu “crazy” and “ungrateful” over the situation.

The US president further stated that Iran has agreed not to pursue nuclear weapons, adding that a resolution of tensions could help push global oil prices lower.

He also remarked that there is currently no need for US ground forces in Iran and suggested that developments in the region are changing rapidly, with potential for positive outcomes.
