Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met the parents of the children who lost their lives in the Kahna tragedy and offered her condolences to the bereaved families.
During the meeting, she announced financial assistance of Rs2 million for the family of each deceased child, while those injured in the incident would receive Rs500,000 each.
Maryam Nawaz said compensation cheques had already been handed over to the affected families and directed the authorities to ensure the injured receive the best possible medical treatment and care.
Expressing her grief, the chief minister said no amount of financial assistance could ease the pain of grieving mothers or compensate for the heartbreaking loss of their young children.
She assured the families that they would not be left alone in their difficult time, adding that their sorrow was her own.
