Lahore (Web Desk): The Lahore High Court has turned down bail requests submitted by the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in connection with eight separate cases linked to the events of May 9. A detailed written judgment was issued by the court on Tuesday.
In its ruling, the court dismissed the defense claim that the accused was in jail during the incidents, citing police reports which suggest the plan for the attacks was orchestrated on May 4, with the PTI founder allegedly playing a central role.
According to the judgment, his remarks incited the public and contributed to violent actions against government institutions. The prosecution supported its case with audio recordings, video footage, and written documents that, according to the court, point to a deliberate conspiracy and the accused’s active involvement.
